Parque Nacional del Manu 4 días / 3 noches

Manu National Park-4 days: In many Andean myths, the cloud forest is considered a moral kingdom of darkness, evil and betrayal. The foundations of this belief may be due to Inca legend. This legend recalls that the Indians of the lowland forest is said to have gone through the cloud forest and sacked the Inca capital of Cusco, not once, but several times in the Manu National Park in the Peruvian Amazon.

Cloud forests support numerous other species of plants and animals found in lowland rainforest, but also home to many endemic species such as the spectacled bear and the Andean Cock of the Rock. Of all the tropical cloud forest ecosystems is the least studied. In fact, high levels of endemism can be a defining characteristic of tropical cloud forests. In the tropical Andes, about 40% of bird species are endemic, compared with 19% in the Amazon. New species of endemic birds obviously has only recently discovered teenager, because some cloud forests are so remote and inaccessible to the manu national park.

Obviously, the results of persistent cloud cover in a considerable reduction in sunlight in cloud forests compared to lowland rainforests. There is a high rainfall as precipitation both under 6 ma and direct interception of cloud moisture. With cool temperatures and high humidity, there is generally low evapotranspiration. In a process called “stripping cloud” leaves cause moisture condensation clouds. Water continuously formed on plant surfaces and dripping onto the floor. Not surprisingly, the soil is moist and sometimes even drowned in the Peruvian Jungle manu
