CHOQUEQUIRAO TREK 5 days and 4 nights

The archaeological site of Choquequirao is located at 3050 m.s.n.m. where it is considered as “the last refuge of the Inca State”.

DAY 1 .- CUSCO – CAPULIYOC- CHIKISKA-ROSALINA BEACH

We leave Cusco at approximately 04.30 am, arriving at the town of Curahuasi where we will have our first breakfast, arrival time approximately 3 hours. Then we went to the pass of Capulilloc passing through the villages of Saywite and Cachora; where we organize ourselves in our team in mules where we will start our trek descending. From this place you can see the majestic Padriyoc and Wayna Cachora snowy peaks, you can also see the beautiful change of landscapes from precipices to the Apurimac Canyon with its impressive depth and in chikiska we will have lunch with the chef staff, after tasting lunch we will go to our PLAYA-ROSALINA camp where we will spend the night and have dinner.

DAY 2. – ROSALINA BEACH – SANTA ROSA – MARAMPATA- CHOQUEQUIRAO

Early in the morning after breakfast, we continue our hike ascending through the towns of Santa Rosa and Marampata where we can appreciate a spectacular landscape and from Marampata we continue to the arqueological complex of choquequirao approximately 01.30 minutes, during the walk you can see the Shock complex near this complex we will have our lunch and camp.

DAY 3.- CHOQUEQUIRAO- MARANPATA

After breakfast we will go on the guided tour all day of the Inca construction “choquequirao” moment to enjoy this majestic place, where we can appreciate houses, terraces, main square, priest’s house, usno, main palace, the llama sector and others that are in full restoration and maybe we can observe “The flight of the condors”.
• The guide will explain the history and the importance of the site and after the tour we will return to our Maranpata camp where we will spend the night.

DAY 4.- MARANPATA-CHIKISKA

After an early breakfast, leave MARANPATA and descend back where we will once again observe the Apurimac Canyon, the lush vegetation, its flowers and orchids arriving at PLAYA the lunch spot and then we will have a prolonged nap of approximately 1.00 hours to continue with our walk ascending to our CHIKISKA camp where we will have dinner and spend the night.

DAY 5. – CHIKISKA – CAPULIYOC- CUSCO

Early in the morning after breakfast we continue our way ascending in which we can appreciate again the majestic snowy Padriyoc that decorates the Apurimac Canyon, where we arrive to Capuliyoc where we will have lunch and wait for the transport which will return us to Cusco.

SALKANTAY TREK 5 DAYS AND 4 NIGHTS

DAY 1: CUSCO – MOLLEPATA

We pick up from 04.30 AM of their respective hotels, we leave Cusco at 05.00 AM passing through the towns of Izcuchaca and Limatambo arriving at Mollepata where we will be approximately at 08:00 AM where we will have our breakfast, and then we will deliver 05 kilos to our muleteer

MOLLEPATA- MARQOQ’ASA-SORAYPAMPA

We board the bus from Mollepata to Marqoq’asa for 45 minutes, then we will start the trek from 02.00 hours until the lookout point where we can see 02 valleys (valley of Mollepata, Marqoq’asa) followed by the walk through the time of 03.30 hours to the point of lunch and camp of Soraypampa.

Marqoq’asa and Soraypampa (14 km, 5 hours)

OPTION: Ascent and visit to the Humantay lagoon located 4220 m.s.n.m the ascent we do it in 01.20 minutes and the descent in 40 minutes.

Our tea time is approximately at 18.00 pm and then we will go to our dinner at 7.30 pm, finally we will go to our tents or sleeping tents.

DAY 2: SORAYMAPA -SALKANTAY- CHAULLAY

At 05:00 am we will have breakfast to continue with our walk at 06.30 am, making a gradual ascent of 04 hours to the salkantay pass point located at 4650 meters above sea level. We will be able to pass through 02 important points of history (salkantay-pampa and soyroq’ocha) in the pass we will make a small offering with coca leaves to our pachamama and the apu salkantay, and we will talk about history and religion of the Incas.

We make the descent of 02.30 minutes to the point of huayrac-pampa lunch where we will be 01.30 minutes tasting lunch, we continue the walk from the 4100 masl to 2900 masl for the time of 03.30 minutes all this way in jungle brows coming to the camp of Chaullay name where we will have our tea and dinner.

  • SORAYPAMPA- SALKANTAY- CHAULLAY (22KM, 10 HOURS)

DAY 3: CHAULLAY – PLAYA SAHUAYACO – SANTA TERESA

We will take our breakfast at 06.00 am, then we will walk for the time 05.30 hours all through our jungle eyebrow with ascents and descent plains, in this journey we will appreciate coffee plantations, orchids, bees, bromeliads and many natural plants used for natural medicine , arriving at our Sahuayaca lunch point where we will have lunch “buffete” and board a bus which is included from the lunch point to the camp (Playa – Santa Teresa). Arriving at our camp we will have the option of visiting the thermal baths located in Cocalmayo (Santa Teresa) that are not included in our package and we return to our camp at 06.00 pm, for our tea and dinner.

  • CHAULLAY -PLAYA (14 KM 5 HOURS)

DAY 4: SANTA TERESA -HIDROELECTRICA-AGUAS CALIENTES:

The sunrise will be in a tropical area full of history and nature. Our breakfast awaits us ready to taste and then we will continue our trip towards the hydroelectric where we have lunch in the restaurant after lunch. We will continue our trek through the tropical zone towards the town of hot waters and accommodate us in the hostel and wait for dinner at 18.30 pm.

  • SANTA TERESA-HIDROELECTRICA-AGUAS CALIENTES (14 KM, 5 HOURS)

DAY 5: AGUAS CALIENTES- MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO

In the early morning around 4.30 in the morning we will ascend towards the majestic Inka city of Machupicchu where we will visit accompanied by our guide an approximate of 2 hrs., And the rest of the free day in which you can visit Huayna Picchu, Inti Punku, temple from the moon or simply visit the whole citadel once more, we return in the afternoon to the village of Machu Picchu depending on the schedule of our return train which we will announce once you book your trip with our company.
